How to Plan the Perfect Moab Trip

Not sure how to make the most out of your Moab trip? We've got you covered. We will walk you through what you can't miss, and what is worth skipping in Moab, Utah.

Food

Moab is not the small town it used to be. There are tons of great places to choose from for a nice dinner, a quick snack, or a takeout meal. Here are a few restaurants we LOVE in Moab.

Antica Forma - Authentic wood fired style pizza and pasta. Perfect for a nice dinner setting that your kids will still love.

Frank's Grill - Located at Sage Creek, Frank's is the perfect stop for a quick lunch or poolside snack.

Milt's - Milt's is a Moab classic and has been around since 1954. They offer burgers, sandwiches, shakes, and more! If you're looking for a local favorite, you have to try Milt's.

Zax - Zax is one of our favorites because it's HUGE and offers a wide variety of food and drinks. This is the perfect spot if you have a large group and want to hang out and eat.

Hiking

Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are well-known and crowded hiking destinations in Moab. Here are some great trails to avoid crowds and entrance fees.

Corona Arch 3.0 miles - Beautiful out and back trail to a beautiful picture-worthy arch. There are a few moderate technical areas, not recommended for novice hikers..

Hunter Canyon Trail 3.4 miles - Hunter Canyon is an easy and quiet hike open year round. Great for kiddos and dogs as well!

Dinosaur Tracks Trail 0.2 miles - If you've got a caravan of kids on your trip, you have to stop at the Dinosaur Tracks Trail. Expect a quick walk to see dinosaur tracks above the Colorado River.

Moab Lodging

While hotels are popping up everywhere in, many choose to stay in Moab rental homes or condos to find the perfect spot for their group. Here are a few of our favorite rental communities in Moab.

Sage Creek Resort - This community is known for its luxury condos and beautiful pool. Each unit has 3 bedrooms with varying bed set ups to fit any group's needs. There is tons of extra parking for all your adventure gear as well!

Rim Vista - Rim Vista also has a great pool, hot tub, and even tennis! These units tend to be bigger and feel more like a home than a condo. Great for adult groups.

Casa Moab - Looking for something more quiet and private? Casa Moab has 5 units, rent 1 to all 5 of them at once. The Casitas are a quick walk to Moab Brewery and give the feel of a true authentic Moab vacation.
