Temple Square is Utah's most popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors from around the world. It is home to the famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The world headquarters of the Mormon Church is located here, in a complex of buildings adjacent to Temple Square.

The majestic Salt Lake Temple is an impressive edifice on Temple Square. The square offers two visitors centers, extensive gardens and sparkling fountains. Free tours are offered seven days a week. The tours are low-keyed and enjoyable for people of all faiths and cultures.

Dozens of historic and cultural sites are located in downtown Salt Lake, along with entertainment venues and great restaurants. Many are within easy walking distance. In addition, many government and business buildings are centered here.
